FOUR-THOUSAND
REASONS TO GO CRUISING
This is our first sunset in the Maldives.
After sailing for nearly two weeks across the Indian Ocean, after
dodging floating trees larger than our boat
(tsunami debris), Exit Only finally put her anchor down at Uligamu
in the Maldives. In the evening twilight, the sea and sky
merged into a liquid sunset that descended like a curtain on our
Indian Ocean adventure.
Our first Uligamu sunset was just one of four-thousand reasons why
we went sailing on the ocean of our dreams. Exit Only had a
front row seat on sunsets all around the world. In our
eleven year circumnavigation, there were over four-thousand
sunsets that were totally unique. If we had to pay a
sunset tax, the crew of Exit Only would be bankrupt several times
over.
So how many reasons do you need to go cruising? Are
four-thousand sunsets enough?
